Garlic Pepper Chicken
Thursday, 03 December 2009 19:46

Another quick and easy to prepare chicken and rice meal. Takes about 5 minutes total, and about 30 seconds more than a boring steamed chicken and rice meal that I see so many bodybuilders trying to choke down...

Even though I call this "Gratium Gai" in the video this isn't anywhere near the way the Thai's cook garlic chicken, this is similar to another Thai dish of a similar name but I don't know what it is called exactly.

Either way it is simple and a delicious alternative for chicken and rice addicts everywhere

Ingredients:

250 Grams of Skinless Chicken Breast (1/2 lb)

Chicken Stock Powder

Pepper

Garlic (I use pre-cooked)

Soy Sauce

Oyster Sauce

Cooking Oil

Boiled Rice

Preparation:

Heat pan with oil. Dice the chicken breast, add to the hot pan. Add garlic and sprinkle quiet a lot of pepper (to taste), sprinkle chicken stock powder in and stir.

Add a dash of water, add soy sauce and oyster sauce stir in and put the lid on the pan to steam the chicken in the sauce and spices mix. Cook for about 5 minutes, checking the water doesn't boil off and let the ingredients burn. After 5 minutes the chicken should be cooked through. If there is a lot of water in the pan still continue to heat with the lid off until the water and sauces in the pan become a thickened consistency, like a thin gravy.

Serve over boiled rice
