Spicy Tuna Noodles - Tom Yum Pla
Friday, 11 December 2009 19:47

2 minute noodles turned into a full bodybuilders meal, at the same time turning boring, plain, bile inducing tinned tuna into an exotic tropical delicacy....

Yeah, that is a load of BS, but there is a hint of truth in it.

Simply choosing Mama brand Thai noodles and grabbing the spicy prawn, or Tum Yum Gung flavour (same name as the famous Thai movie starring Tony Jaa (movie also called "The Protector")). If this brand isn't available grab any Asian noodle dish that features prawns (shrimp) and has red bits in the soup, that'll be hot spices.

The benefit being that the spices and chillies hide the flavour of the tuna so that you can barely taste it.

Ingredients:

185g Tin of Tuna in springwater or brine (4/10 lb)
2 Eggs
Asian Noodles, spicy prawn flavour
Cabbage
Beans (optional)
Tomato (optional)

Preparation:

Put water in pan and heat pan. Cut cabbage (and optional vegetables), put in pan, empty excess water from tuna put tuna into pan. Crush noodles in the packet, put noodles into pan and empty flavour sachets into the pan too.

Put lid on and leave 2 minutes to cook the noodles. Crack 2 eggs into the pan and stir through until the eggs are cooked.

Serve.
