Conan's nutrient rich homemade pasta sauce - packed full of vitamins and minerals, carbs and proteins.

This homemade pasta sauce is easily made by boiling a bunch of vegetables together until they become the sauce, you couldn't get a healthier, more filling pasta sauce no matter how hard you tried. Add in some minced beef and pasta nad you have a spaghetti that will flood your body with muscle building nutrients that every Bodybuilder needs.

Ingredients:
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Pasta
600 Grams Beef (minced or finely diced) (1 & 1/3 lb)
Tomato Paste (or preferrably 7 large tomatoes)
Mushrooms
Cottage Cheese
Cauliflower
Cabbage
Beans
Onion
Paprika or capsicum (peppers, or bell peppers) - for a little spice
Carrot
Tomatoes
Pumpkin
Garlic (I use pre-cooked)
(You can use any vegetables you want, this is the selection I had available in the fridge when I made this)

Preparation:
Put the pasta into a pot of hot water and boil it to cook the pasta while we prepare the rest of the meal.

Add oil to the heated pan, add beef and stir it around to cook it without burning any, add a splash of water if the beef startes to stick to the bottom of the pan (usually oil would be used here but we don't want so much added oil). Stir until it is mostly cooked - the meat turns from pink to brown - then add another splash of water and put the lid on top of the pan to steam the meat through as we prepare the vegetables.

Dice all vegetables finely, then add to the meat in the pan (add the 'hard' vegetables like carrot and pumpkin first as they take longer to cook than things like cabbage and onion), add garlic and the pasta sauce. Wash the pasta sauce can/bottle out with 1/3 cup of water to get the remaining pasta sauce out and pour into the pan. Add 1/2 of hte container of low fat cottage cheese.

Mix all the ingredients through, make sure the cottage cheese and pasta sauce is evenly mixed through. Put the pan on a low heat, put the lid on and let it simmer for about 30 minutes. Regularly check and stir, to make sure the bottom ingredients are not sticking and burning to the pan, add more water as required.

Serve 1/3 of the mix over pasta, in this case we use elbow macaroni, but any will do. This provides a very filling meal that won't make you fat.
