A simple ham and egg roll turned into something much more, a full meal in fact in one roll. Wrap it in cling wrap (Saran wrap) and take it with you. Just like "Subway" for a bodybuilder...
Often you will find normal everyday snacks that can be turned into a bodybuilders full meal with a little imagination. This is one such idea. A common bacon and egg roll added to, modified and transformed (Got to make it sound snazzy, if I said we were going to eat egg whites on bread you wouldn't even look at the recipe). So I removed the fatty bacon, added some low fat ham, and egg whites, and replaced the cheese with low fat cottage cheese and we still end up with a tasty 'sandwich' but with less fat and more protein. Perfect for the hard training athlete.
Ingredients: Baguette (French bread stick, long bread roll) Ham, 2-3 slices 6 Eggs (1 whole and 5 egg whites or egg white powder) Cherry Tomatoes (use any tomato) Lettuce Low Fat Cottage Cheese
Preparation: Cut the baguette down the middle from the top, careful not to cut through the lower outer crust. Cut the ham and tomatoes into small pieces Put oil in the low heated pan/wok and fry the ham and tomatoes until cooked, can add a splash of water to aid in cooking quickly without burning. Break eggs into a bowl and scramble with a fork, when the tomatoes are at least partly cooked pour the eggs into the pan and stir until cooked. Spread the low fat cottage cheese in the roll, like you would use butter Put lettuce in the roll Place the scrambled ham/tomato/egg into the roll Eat
