An ideal post workout 'meal' quick and easy to prepare and being a drink it is easy to intake after a workout if you are dehydrated. High in nutrients with raw fruits, high in simple carbohydrates and high quality protein rounds this out to make it a good healthy meal...
The other time this would be a good meal is for those who find it hard to eat first thing in the morning, this would provide an instant pick me up energy meal that would be absorbed rapidly, also ideal for your pre-workout meal.
Not to mention it is tasty.
Ingredients: Egg Whites or Egg White Powder (or unflavoured whey protein) Skim Milk Low Fat Natural Yoghurt Papaya Bananas Pineapple (use whichever fruits are in season and available for you)
Preparation: Dice the papaya, bananas and pineapple put in the blender. Add yoghurt, milk and egg whites. Blend. let sit for 10 minutes to let the air that was blended in back out. (You don't want protein farts do you?).
Drink.
