When you get a new frying pan you should prepare it first before using it to cook in. This same preparation step should be taken from time to time to keep the pan in good condition, so you can use a minimum of oil to cook your foods in.
Ingredients:
Fry pan Cooking oil
Preparation: Heat the fry pan or wok. Put oil into the pan and swirl it about, making sure all the inside of the fry pan/wok is covered in cooking oil. Continue to heat the pan until it is very hot. Then turn the heat off and let the pan cool down naturally. This traps some of the oil molecules in the metal of the pan, making it slightly non-stick.
